IRONMAN 70.3 Dallas-Little Elm 2026 Results: Sanders Wins, Hering’s Dramatic Penalty Run-Down
Canada’s Lionel Sanders won the inaugural IRONMAN 70.3 Dallas-Little Elm on 15 March in 3:17:12 — 2:28 clear of Ben Kanute. The pro swim was cut to 350m from 1,900m due to weather; the men’s race was decided on the bike and run. In the women’s race, Jackie Hering ran down Anna Buettner in the final metres for the win after serving a two-minute bike penalty earlier in the day.

Sanders started 46th out of the shortened swim, moved up through the field on the bike, and was untouchable on the run. He won by 2:28 from Kanute, with Switzerland’s Andrea Salvisberg taking third.

Women’s Race
Hering produced one of the runs of the season. After a two-minute bike penalty dropped her down the field, she chased back through the run and caught Anna Buettner metres from the line, winning by 18 seconds in 3:49:56.
