Salomon Becomes IRONMAN Global Premier Partner From 2027 and Kona Title Sponsor

Salomon and IRONMAN announced a five-year partnership in Nice on 11 September 2026. From 2027 to 2031 Salomon becomes IRONMAN’s Global Premier Partner, with exclusive rights across performance footwear, apparel and technical bags within the IRONMAN ecosystem. It will also be title partner of the 2027 IRONMAN World Championship in Kona.

What the deal covers

• Term — five years, 2027 through 2031.
• Scope — exclusive rights to performance footwear, apparel and technical bags across IRONMAN and IRONMAN 70.3 events.
• Kona — Salomon is title partner of the 2027 IRONMAN World Championship in Kailua-Kona.
• Run courses — at each IRONMAN and IRONMAN 70.3-owned event in the partnership the run course becomes the "Salomon Run Course". Events named in the announcement include Oceanside, Texas, Chattanooga, Lanzarote, Lake Placid, Oregon and Jones Beach.
• Product — Salomon says it will develop footwear and apparel for the demands of middle- and long-distance triathlon, and test them at selected events.

Salomon in Kona this year

Salomon’s first Kona activation is a pop-up at Kona Heaven on 7 and 8 October 2026, ahead of the 2026 IRONMAN World Championship on 10 October. Ultrarunner Courtney Dauwalter and cross-country skier Jessie Diggins are named as appearing. The triathletes Marjolaine Pierré, Julie Iemmolo and Casper Stornes are named in the announcement.

What it means for triathletes

Salomon is best known for trail running, so a triathlon-specific range is new territory for it. The announcement doesn’t name any products or a launch date, so it’s too early to say what a Salomon triathlon shoe will look like or how it will compare with the carbon-plated shoes that dominate our best triathlon running shoes guide. We’ll cover the products once Salomon shows them.
