dhb Is Back: What Triathletes Need to Know About the Relaunched Kit Brand

dhb — the budget-to-midrange British performance cycling brand best known for years as Wiggle’s own-label line — has relaunched, this time distributed through Evans Cycles rather than the now-defunct Wiggle. For triathletes who used dhb as an affordable way into decent-quality tri suits and cycling kit before Wiggle’s 2023 collapse, here’s what’s actually changed.

What Happened to dhb

dhb was Wiggle’s in-house brand, sold almost exclusively through Wiggle’s own site. When Wiggle collapsed, dhb effectively disappeared from the market with it, leaving a gap in the budget-performance segment of cycling and triathlon kit that competitors like Endura and Altura partly absorbed. The brand has now returned with new backing through Evans Cycles, selling both through Evans and its own direct site, dhbsport.com.

A New Meaning, Same Positioning

The relaunched brand has given its own initials a new meaning — “Don’t Hold Back” — rather than the founders’ initials the name originally stood for. Beyond the rebrand, the market positioning looks consistent with the old dhb: performance-oriented cycling and triathlon wear aimed at riders who want kit that performs without paying premium-brand prices.

What’s Available for Triathletes

dhb has brought back a dedicated triathlon range under its Aeron line, including short-sleeve and sleeveless tri suits for both men and women, plus higher-spec Aeron Ultra and Aeron Lab variants sitting above the standard suits. This mirrors dhb’s old approach of offering a tiered range — a genuinely entry-level option alongside a more race-focused build — rather than a single one-size-fits-all suit.

Worth Considering If…

  • You want a first tri suit without paying flagship prices from Zone3, Castelli or Orca
  • You previously owned dhb kit and know the fit and quality worked for you
  • You’re kitting out a club or group for a relay or team event where budget matters across multiple suits

dhb doesn’t currently appear in the affiliate networks we use for cycling and triathlon gear, so we can’t yet offer a tracked purchase link — check current pricing and availability directly at dhbsport.com or via Evans Cycles.
