Silca Elettrico Ultimate Mini Inflator Review 2026: Electric Pump for Triathletes
The Silca Elettrico Ultimate is a battery-powered mini inflator that fills a road tyre without a CO2 cartridge or a hand pump. It is aimed at riders who want to top up tyres before a session, seat a tubeless tyre at the roadside, or avoid a pocket of spent cartridges. We have not tested it ourselves, so this page uses Silca’s spec sheet, the Tredz listing and Cycling Weekly’s review.
Price check: £129.99 at Tredz against a £159 RRP at time of writing (28 September 2026), in stock when we checked.

Key specs
- Pressure: 3 to 100 psi, set digitally in 1 psi steps. Silca says the gauge is accurate to 1% when used with the hose.
- Battery: 11.1V, 600mAh, rechargeable over USB-C in about an hour. Silca says one charge fills 8 to 9 road tyres or 3 to 5 gravel or mountain bike tyres, equal to 9 or more CO2 cartridges.
- Weight and size: 222g, 81 x 60 x 32mm.
- Valves: Presta direct. A threaded hose is included for Schrader use with an adapter.
- Tubeless: Silca lists tubeless support with an automatic cut-off to protect hookless rims.
- Warranty and travel: two-year limited warranty, and Silca describes it as TSA compliant for air travel.
What the review says
Cycling Weekly rates the performance as impressive and lists the drawbacks as weight, bulk, noise and the 100 psi ceiling. Its angular shape does not suit a jersey pocket. Read the full review on Cycling Weekly.
What it means for triathletes
These points are our reading of the specs, not test results.
- Great for the garage and the car boot. One charge covers several bikes, which suits a household with a tri bike, a road bike and a turbo bike.
- Check your pressures. Most triathletes on wide modern tyres run well under 100 psi, so the ceiling rarely bites. If you run a narrow, high-pressure setup, it leaves no headroom.
- Heavier than CO2 for race day. At 222g plus a hose, it is a training and travel tool. A CO2 inflator and cartridge typically weighs far less for a saddle bag.
Buying tips
- Match it to your valves. It works with Presta directly, and Schrader through the hose and adapter.
- Keep it charged before events. A USB-C top-up takes about an hour, so charge it the night before a race weekend.
- Keep a backup. Most riders still carry a CO2 inflator or mini pump for a roadside flat.
