WTCS Karlovy Vary 2026 Results: Coninx Wins Rain-Soaked Battle as Taylor-Brown Ends Title Drought

Dorian Coninx won a tight battle over a fast-closing Alex Yee in rain-soaked, crash-strewn conditions at WTCS Karlovy Vary, while Georgia Taylor-Brown claimed her first WTCS victory in almost three years in a women’s race that saw over a quarter of the field DNF on the wet cobblestones.

Men’s Race

Alex Yee began the 10km run 2:12 behind leader Dorian Coninx, ran a race-best 29:16 split, and closed all the way back to finish just 10 seconds short. Tjebbe Kaindl’s bronze medal was Austria’s first-ever WTCS podium finish.

  1. Dorian Coninx (FRA) — 1:50:50
  2. Alex Yee (GBR) — +0:10
  3. Tjebbe Kaindl (AUT)
  4. Ricardo Batista (POR)
  5. Tim Hellwig (GER)

Women’s Race

Rain-soaked, crash-strewn conditions on the wet cobblestones caused over a quarter of the women’s field to DNF. Georgia Taylor-Brown’s win was her first WTCS victory in almost three years, since Cagliari in May 2023.

  1. Georgia Taylor-Brown (GBR) — 2:03:05
  2. Taylor Spivey (USA) — +0:36
  3. Lisa Tertsch (GER)
  4. Jeanne Lehair (LUX)
  5. Therese Feuersinger (AUT)

Season Implications

The wet, crash-strewn conditions made attrition as much a factor as pace, with over a quarter of the women’s field failing to finish. Taylor-Brown’s win ends a near three-year wait for a WTCS victory, while Kaindl’s bronze marks Austria’s first podium at this level.
