WTCS London 2026 Results: Hauser Beats Vilaça Again as Beaugrand Wins London Return
Matt Hauser outsprinted series leader Vasco Vilaça for the second WTCS race running, winning WTCS London in 50:28 to close the gap in this year’s world title race. Cassandre Beaugrand took the women’s title, while home favourite Alex Yee recovered from a crash to finish 14th in front of his home crowd.
Men’s Race
Matt Hauser and Vasco Vilaça went head-to-head again, and for the second WTCS round in a row it was the Australian who had the better sprint finish, coming home just three seconds clear of the Portuguese series leader. Olympic champion Alex Yee crashed during the final bike lap but recovered to finish 14th despite strong home-crowd support on the run. WTCS London 2026 was the first top-tier WTCS race held in London since 2015.

Women’s Race
Cassandre Beaugrand won the women’s race, holding off Germany’s Lisa Tertsch by five seconds. Britain’s Tilly Anema, who had led the race after the swim alongside Taylor Knibb, crashed on the bike after clipping cones and was unable to continue.

Season Implications
Hauser’s back-to-back wins in Hamburg and London have turned this into a genuine title fight, though Vilaça — who has led the overall standings for most of the season — still finished on the podium in both races. With the series moving on to Weihai, Karlovy Vary and the Grand Final in Pontevedra, the two look set to be duelling for the world title all the way to the final round.
