Topeak Prepstand Elite Workstand: Folding Bike Repair Stand (£220)
The Topeak Prepstand Elite is a folding workstand with a clamp that holds the bike by its seatpost. We have not tested it ourselves. This page collects the listed specs, the Tredz price and the kind of home workshop it suits.
Available now: Topeak Elite Prepstand — £220.00 at Tredz (RRP £269.99), correct at time of writing, 5 October 2026.

What the manufacturer and retailers list
- Maximum bike weight: 25 kg (55 lb), as listed by retailers.
- Stand weight: 6 kg.
- Clamp height: adjustable from 122 cm to 183 cm.
- Construction: 6061 T6 aluminium tubes, with a clamp that Topeak describes as having an extra rotating lever.
- Folding: the stand folds for storage. Retailer listings disagree on the folded diameter, so we give only the 117 cm folded length.
Where it fits a triathlete’s workshop
The points below are our reading of the listed specs, not test results.
- Regular home maintenance. A stand that holds the bike at a set height saves bending over a drivetrain or brake job on a long winter of turbo and road miles.
- Seatpost clamping. This design holds the bike by the seatpost, so check that yours is a round post you are happy to clamp. A deep aero seatpost may not suit a round clamp, so check the shape of yours.
- Weight limit. 25 kg covers any road, triathlon or gravel bike. It is a spec to check if you plan to put an e-bike on it.
- Storage. It folds, which helps in a garage or spare room shared with a turbo trainer.
