Topeak Nano TorqBar X: Compact Torque Wrench for Carbon Bikes (£40.99)
The Topeak Nano TorqBar X is a compact adjustable torque wrench that covers the low torque range used on carbon bars, seatposts and stems. We have not tested it ourselves. This page collects Topeak’s listed specs and the Tredz price.

What the manufacturer and retailers list
- Torque range: 2 to 6 Nm, with Topeak quoting ±10% accuracy.
- Accuracy life: Topeak says the ±10% accuracy is guaranteed for 5,000 cycles.
- Bits included: 3, 4 and 5 mm Allen bits and T20 and T25 Torx bits, with a carry case.
- Weight: 64 g for the TorqBar alone, or 130 g with one TorqBit and two bits, per Topeak.
- Size and storage: 15.2 cm long, with a compartment in the handle for two bits. Topeak lists 11 functions in total.
- Build: hardened steel tools in an aluminium and engineering polymer body.
Where it fits a triathlete’s workshop
The points below are our reading of the listed specs, not test results.
- Carbon components. Bars, stems and seatposts often specify low torque figures, so a 2 to 6 Nm range suits that job. Always check the figure printed on your own parts.
- Travel kit. At 130 g with bits, it is small enough for a race-weekend bag when you reassemble a bike after flying.
- Not for everything. The range stops at 6 Nm, so crank bolts, cassette lockrings and other higher-torque fasteners need a different tool.
