Expected Design and Display
We’d expect the Gen 3 to carry over the 46mm Grade-5 titanium case and AMOLED touchscreen that defined Gen 2, with rumour sites suggesting Garmin will lean on either Fenix 8 or, if timing allows, Fenix 9 internals for the processor and sensor suite. None of this is confirmed — Garmin has not detailed a chipset, display resolution or sensor package for a Gen 3 model.
Expected Battery and Software
The Gen 2 MARQ lineup currently offers up to 16 days in smartwatch mode and up to 40 hours in standard GPS mode, with a magnetic charger that halves charge time to around an hour. If Garmin follows its usual pattern of generational battery improvements, we’d expect the Gen 3 to match or slightly exceed these figures — but again, this is inference from past launches, not a confirmed spec.
Expected Price and Release Window
The current MARQ (Gen 2) collection is priced from around $1,900 to $2,400 depending on edition. Leaks suggest a Gen 3 launch is more likely in H2 2026, with some trackers pointing to an October announcement timed to the holiday luxury gift season — similar to the MARQ’s original launch pattern.
