Ass Savers Regular Rear Mudguard: FLIP-TIP Saddle Clip-On (£9)
The Ass Savers Regular is a clip-on rear mudguard that attaches to the saddle rails. We have not tested it. This page collects what Tredz lists and the current price.
Available now: Ass Savers Regular Rear Mudguard — £8.99 at Tredz, with some colours from £7.99 (listed RRP £9.99), correct at time of writing, 15 October 2026.

What the retailer lists
- Attachment: the FLIP-TIP system. You fold up the tip and it locks to the saddle rails.
- Fit: every standard rail saddle, including carbon rails, and tyre widths of 23 to 35 mm.
- Mounting point: the front saddle rails only, ahead of the seat post. Tredz says this makes the mudguard self-centring if you knock it.
- Saddle bags: Tredz says it is easier to install with a saddle bag than earlier models, but does not guarantee a fit with every bag.
The listing gives no weight, so check the product page if grams matter to you.
Where it fits for triathletes
The points below are our reading of the listed features, not test results.
- Winter training. A saddle-rail mudguard goes on and off in seconds, so it suits a bike you also race on.
- Race bikes. Check that your saddle has standard rails before you buy, since many tri saddles have a different shape.
- Price. At £8.99 it is £1.00 below the RRP.
