What the retailer lists
- Weight: 265 g for the pair.
- Body: a wide, lightweight carbon body with a large contact area, which Shimano says helps power transfer and support.
- Profile: a low-profile design for more road clearance when cornering.
- Engagement: a large binding target for quick engagement, with wide cleats for efficient pedalling.
- Build: a stainless steel pedal body plate, an open design for cleat adjustment and a sealed cartridge axle that needs little maintenance.
- Cleats: the SH-SH11 yellow cleat is included, which gives 6 degrees of sideways float.
The listing gives no body height, Q-factor or axle length.
Where it fits for triathletes
The points below are our reading of the listed features, not test results.
- Cost. At £67.99 it costs £109.00 less than the Dura-Ace pedal we cover separately, and weighs 29 g more per pair.
- Float. A 6 degree float cleat in the box gives some room for the foot to settle, which many riders prefer on long rides.
- Training and racing. A pedal cheap enough to fit on both a training bike and a race bike means one cleat setup across both.
