What It Is
Aero socks are a small, cheap upgrade in a sport where most aero gains cost hundreds of pounds. GripGrab developed the FastStream with aero engineers at Flanders Bike Valley, and the pitch is straightforward: a textured knitted surface designed to manage airflow around the lower leg, the same principle golf balls use to reduce drag with dimples rather than a smooth surface.

Fit

Worth It?
GripGrab cites its own wind-tunnel testing for the drag claims, which we haven’t independently verified — treat the aero benefit as a manufacturer claim rather than a confirmed number. What’s not in question is that these are a genuinely well-made race sock at a sensible price, so even a sceptical buyer gets a decent pair of socks either way. Best suited to road racing, time trials and any race where every marginal gain is worth having; overkill for easy training miles.
