What the retailer lists

  • Sensing: dual-sided, so it reports power from both legs.
  • Accuracy: Garmin lists within +/- 1%, from a reimagined strain gauge and an added gyroscope.
  • Cycling dynamics: left-right balance, seated versus standing time and power phase data.
  • Transfer: the removable power sensor works with Rally 110 or 210 road or off-road pedal bodies, sold separately or as a bundle.
  • In the box: two charging clips and cables, plus SHIMANO SPD compatible cleats.

Where it fits for triathletes

The points below are our reading of the listed features, not test results.

  • Swapping bikes. Moving one set between a road bike and a time-trial bike is the main use for triathletes who own two.
  • Cleat system. This version takes SPD cleats, which suits off-road and gravel shoes; check that your shoes take SPD cleats before buying.
