GripGrab Hurricane 2 Windproof Gloves: Spring-Autumn Cycling Gloves (£30)
The GripGrab Hurricane 2 is a windproof long-finger glove aimed at the in-between months, when a summer mitt is too cold and a full winter glove is too hot. We have not tested it ourselves. This page collects the listed features, the Tredz price and where it fits a triathlete’s autumn riding.
Available now: GripGrab Hurricane 2 Windproof Long Finger Gloves — £30.00 at Tredz (RRP £65.00), correct at time of writing, 1 October 2026.

What the manufacturer and retailers list
- Back of hand: windproof stretch fabric. Retailer listings quote a 15K breathability rating and a PFC-free water-repellent treatment for light showers and road spray.
- Palm: synthetic suede with padding and a silicone grip pattern.
- Extras: touchscreen-compatible fingertips, a soft thumb sweat wiper, reflective details and a brushed inner face.
- Materials and sizing: listings give 60% polyester, 30% polyamide, 5% elastane and 5% polyurethane, with about 90% recycled content, in sizes XS to XXL.
- Temperature: retailer listings quote different comfort ranges, so treat it as a spring-autumn glove, as the name says, rather than a deep-winter one.
Where it fits a triathlete’s autumn
The points below are our reading of the listed specs, not test results.
- Cool-morning road rides. A windproof back with a thin lining suits the 8 am ride in October that warms up by mid-morning.
- Not for wet, cold rides. The treatment is water-repellent, not waterproof. For sustained rain see our review of the Altura Nevis waterproof gloves.
- Touchscreen use. Listed touchscreen fingertips let you change a Garmin screen or answer a call without taking a glove off, though we have not checked how well it works.
