Endura Windchill Jacket II: Windproof Winter Jacket for Triathletes (£72.99)

The Endura Windchill Jacket II is a windproof softshell for cold-weather riding, and Tredz sells it for less than most winter jackets from the big cycling brands. We have not tested it ourselves. This page collects the manufacturer’s listed features, the retailer’s price and what reviewers have said, so you can judge whether it suits your winter turbo-and-road routine.

Available now: Endura Windchill Cycling Jacket II — £68.99 at Tredz (RRP £99.99), correct at time of writing, 30 September 2026. Tredz lists it in black, pomegranate, hi-viz yellow and rust red.

What Endura and Tredz list

  • Fabric: stretch, windproof thermal fabric with a grid-backed inner throughout, per Tredz’s listing.
  • Venting: large zipped vents under both arms for temperature control.
  • Pockets: three open rear pockets plus a zipped security pocket.
  • Visibility and fit: reflective trim and a silicone grip hem. Tredz describes the fit as suited to road, gravel or trail, so it is not a race-cut aero fit.
  • Weather resistance: retailer listings describe a DWR finish that sheds light rain and road spray. That is a water-repellent coating, not a fully waterproof jacket.

What reviewers say

Cycling Weekly’s review (last updated December 2021, so it covers the same jacket but is not recent) lists warmth, windproofing, water resistance, underarm venting and value as strengths. Its one complaint is that the pockets are not waterproof, and it notes the fit is not aerodynamic.

Where it fits a triathlete’s winter

The points below are our reading of the listed specs, not test results.

  • Base miles and turbo commutes. A windproof softshell with vents suits steady Zone 2 riding, where you warm up slowly and want to shed heat on climbs.
  • Not a wet-weather shell. With a DWR finish rather than a waterproof membrane, it will struggle in sustained rain. For that, see our review of the Endura MT500 waterproof jacket, which costs more.
  • Pockets need a bag. Because the rear pockets are open, put your phone in a zip-lock bag on wet rides.
