Castelli Unlimited Endurance Bib Shorts: Long-Ride Gravel and Road Bibs (£159.95)
The Castelli Unlimited Endurance is a bib short built for long days in the saddle, with a seamless pad and mesh storage that most race-focused bibs leave out. We have not tested it ourselves. This page collects the listed features, the Tredz price and where it fits a triathlete’s long bike rides.
Available now: Castelli Unlimited Endurance Cycling Bib Shorts — £159.95 at Tredz (RRP £189), correct at time of writing, 3 October 2026.

What the manufacturer and retailers list
- Pad: retailer listings name it the Progetto X2 Air Seamless pad, a variable-density foam pad with no perimeter stitching.
- Fabric: listings name Giro3 Light material with four-way stretch, with flatlock seams and mesh bib straps.
- Storage: mesh pockets. Listings disagree on how many (one rear pocket on some, two side pockets plus a rear pocket on others), so check the product page for the version you are buying.
- Leg grip: a silicone dot grip, with a UPF 50+ rating quoted by one retailer.
- Weight and sizes: bike-magazin.de quotes 178 g in size L. Sizes run XS to 3XL on some listings.
Specs are taken from retailer listings and one German test magazine’s spec sheet (bike-magazin.de). We have not seen Castelli’s own page, so details can differ by season and size.
Where it fits a triathlete’s training
The points below are our reading of the listed specs, not test results.
- Long weekend rides. A seamless pad and mesh straps are aimed at rides measured in hours, which suits Ironman-distance bike volume.
- Carrying food. Pockets on a bib let you carry gels and bars without a jersey, useful on gravel or mixed-surface sessions.
- Not an aero race bib. It is an endurance bib. For race-day kit see our Castelli Free Aero Race S bib shorts review.
- Price. Tredz has it at £159.95 against an RRP of £189.
